Color Breathing

Breathe Color.

If you practice this a few times from start to end, you will find this meditation is quite adaptable anytime and anywhere. I find myself breathing color whenever i need the energies from a particular color. This morning for example, I was frustrated with AT&T’s lack of accountability and found myself seeing the wrong kind of red so I began to practice Hara breathing with the color yellow using my “I can do this” affirmations to change my energies. I needed strength to not loose my cool, and it worked! No better time than right now to share it to you!

To begin, lie flat on your back with your feet slightly apart. Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths, to exhaling out any feelings of stress. Once you are relaxed, you may begin.

  • Focus on your Base Chakra and legs. Visualize your incoming breath as a bright red light. Pull and direct it to your Base.
  • Focus on your Sacral Chakra and abdomen. Visualize your incoming breath as a vibrant orange light. Pull and direct it to your Sacrum.
  • Focus on your Solar Plexus Chakra, stomach and digestive organs. Visualize your incoming breath as a sunny yellow light. Pull and direct it to your Solar Plexus.
  • Focus on your Heart Chakra and chest. Visualize your incoming breath as a bright grass-green light. Pull and direct it to your Heart.
  • Focus on your Throat Chakra, neck, throat, lace and back of head. Visualize your incoming breath as a bright turquoise-blue light. Pull and direct it to your Throat.
  • Focus on your Third Eye Chakra, the center of your brow, eyes and brain. Visualize your incoming breath as a clear deep-blue light. Pull and direct it to your Third Eye.
  • Focus on your Crown Chakra, the top of your head and just [above your head. Visualize your incoming breath as a clear violet light. Pull and direct it to your Crown.
  • Now visualize clear golden-white light streaming into the top of your head. Pull the golden-white light into each chakra in turn: Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, Base. Take the golden-white light right down to your feet, and release it through your soles into the Earth and the Earth Star Chakra beneath you.

Return to a normal breathing pattern and enjoy the feeling of your recharged chakras. Wait a few moments, then stretch and slowly sit up.

Do this for the first 3 or 4 times. After that, the thoughts should come naturally and you can quietly ponder them instead of actually writing them out.
