The actual theme for this kit was New Moon In Pisces. The theme gave the challenge of watery creativeness infused with the New Moon energy of beginnings. It inspired me to curate a kit that involved creating a secret garden of sorts. A Magickal Moon Garden to be exact. If you do not have sufficient outside area to grow a moon garden you can easily grown it potted indoors next to a window sill with appropriate lighting.

I suggest cleansing the runes in the soil of the garden and keeping them with the plants as much as possible to create an infused space of energy and intention.

Moon Garden

Drawing on the inspirational and creative energies of the new moon, you can symbolically and literally plants the seeds of intention and create a magickal moon garden. A space dedicated to fostering creativity, spiritual transformation, intuition, self-trust, and renewal.

Meditate, practice magick, foretell the future and cast runes in a moon garden to connect with moon energies and awaken to your inner mysteries. With a single seed, you will reap what you sow – thought is the first seed. Whatever you wish to harvest begins with a thought.

As you continue to nurture and grow your garden it will become a flourishing garden, a life long place of reflection, intention, solace and refuge. Tend to this garden as a direct reflection of your intention and dedication to your higher self. If you are unable to plant outdoors, you can create an indoor window garden. The moonflower plant grows quite big and will need vine training and special pruning to contain. Night blooming flowers attract moth spirits which in turn attract bat spirits and owl spirits. messages from nocturnal spirits are related to truth, transformation, mysteries, looking inward, change, rebirth, and wisdom.

Night Blooming Four O’clock – Used by Native Americans for Divination. To break seed dormancy, put them in a small thermos filled with very hot water, and let them stay in there for 2 days.  Then rinse and sow. Seeds can take several weeks to sprout.  They like full sun and loose, dry, sandy soil.

Night Blooming Moonflower – Inhaling the scent of moonflowers before doing divination or before going to bed induce prophetic dreams. Seeds germinate better if they are nicked.  File off a small circle of the seedcoat on the end that is smooth.  You can use a nail file. Then soak them in warm water overnight.  I have had good luck germinating them by putting them in a paper towel towel that has been wet and then wrung out. Spread the seeds out, carefully fold over the paper towel, and put in a plastic bag. Put in a relatively warm place, and the seeds will germinate.

Night Blooming Primrose – is used to aid in manifesting intentions and seeing them through to completion. The seeds of Primroses are very tiny. They should be sown in a tray in early spring on a seed bed of moist peat moss which has been layered over sterile potting soil. The tray must then be chilled in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks, after which it must be kept at 70 degrees F. during germination, which takes from 3-6 weeks.

Amethyst Runes

Amethyst is the zodiac stone for those born under the sign of Pisces. Runes are an oracle from which one seeks advice.

They work best if you detail your current circumstances and then ask a specific question, such as dream interpretation. They hint toward answers, but you have to figure out the details. This is when the rune casters intuition becomes paramount. Runic divination or “rune casting” is not “fortune telling” in the sense that one actually foretells the future. Instead, runes give one a means of analyzing the path that one is on and a likely outcome. The future is not fixed. It changes with everything one does. If one does not like the prediction, one can always change paths. A set of amethyst runes will aid one in creating new paths of spiritual enlightenment. Keep these amethyst runes closely connected to this moon garden. When cleansing, bury them in the soil of the garden. When casting, do so near or in the garden. If possible, store your runes in a safe container in the garden.

Mugwort is a magickal herb that heightens psychic awareness and inner vision. Add a pinch of the herb to your favorite tea or burn as incense over charcoal. Mugwort is a bitter herb when steeped as a tea, I have yet to find a way to make it taste good without a sweetener! Mugwort is not safe for pregnant or nursing mothers.

Crystal Journeys Pillar Candle for Harmony

Harmony is a string of occurrences that seem to be coming together perfectly at a particular moment in time. Spend time with generating harmonious energy with your seedlings to create a harmonious bond between your garden, rune sand self.
