Gaia, Mother Earth, or Mother Nature was an early Greek Earth Goddess. It is written that Gaia was born from chaos, the great void of emptiness within the universe but some see it not as a birth but as an emergence and it was her healing energy that caused chaos to recede.
Consider her sacrifices to us and think of every action we take as our wish for her. Invoke Gaia to ground and heal ourselves. This kit includes a few of Gaias specialties for grounding our energy and a balsamic moon ritual for reconnecting and honoring her.
Balsamic Moon Ritual
As the final phase in the lunation cycle, the Balsamic Moon is the birthing cycle of the moon’s various phases. It’s a time to turn inward and take a cyclic rest. During the three to four days of this phase, vitality and spirit are replenished, fueling your start at the next New Moon. Right brain processes are at their peak this phase, having gathered momentum since the Full Moon. Instinct and intuition are high. Rest is imperative. Our physical energy is necessarily low as our psychic energy is high. We’re at a threshold, ending one cycle while anticipating a new one around the corner. We might want to get into motion, but our bodies are tired. Our clarity and focus wane, like the Balsamic Moon herself, rising thinner and fainter each morning until she eventually disappears altogether. This is the dark moon…a time for grounding, settling into center, honoring the earth and opening to enlightenment.
This ritual is completely intuitive. Simply clear your space, hold the copper in your hands and bury them in the ground. As Copper is a conductor of heat and electricity, it is also considered a conductor of one’s spiritual energy, moving it back and forth between people, auras, crystals, and the spirit world. Said to be able to amplify our thoughts and the sending and receiving of psychic communication. Emotionally, Copper is said to stimulate the flow of psychic energies resulting in a more vitalized being. (Copper is safe to handle, but you should wash your hands afterwards) Invoke Gaia with a prayer of gratitude. Every action you take is a prayer to her so take action by watering plants or trees, fertilizing your soils, planting seeds, recycling, or something else to heal her and she will, in return, ground you. Place your Labradorite heart within your sacred space to eliminate the stress and emotional drain of the mundane and spark the awakening of your own awareness of your inner spirit, intuition and psychic abilities. Roll the hematite spheres in your hands to soothe and draw off excess negative energy.
All you have to do is place the nuggets in one hand and relax. You can be a bit more strategic by placing the copper directly on the ground then sit, stand or lay on the copper as you ground yourself. But just knowing and having these in your energy field is enough to activate Gaia and calm the chaos, balance emotional energy and spark your inner magick.
